Metric Thread – Brass – Molded-In Inserts - Non-Stocked Alternatives

SPIROL offers a line of non-stocked brass Molded-In Inserts with metric threads as an alternative to SPIROL’s standard metric Molded-In Inserts that are manufactured from aluminum. The Series 40 is symmetrical and Series 44 is the same body style in a blind-ended version. Unlike SPIROL’s standard series of aluminum, Molded-in Inserts, this non-stocked series is made from free-machining brass, which may be preferable in some application that are exposed to a galvanic corrosive environment. These Brass Molded-In Inserts are made to order in metric thread sizes ranging from M2.5 to M10.

The Series 40 Through-Hole Molded-In Insert is symmetrical which eliminates the need to orient the Insert when placed onto the core pin in the mold. Series 40 Molded-In Inserts are manufactured from free-machining brass and are available in a wide range of metric threads from M2.5 to M10. Alternatively, SPIROL’s Series 63 Inserts are made from 2024 aluminum, a lightweight, lead-free grade and offer superior resistance to torque and comparable pull out.

The Series 44 has the same body style as the Series 40 Through-Hole Insert, but in a blind-ended version. Series 44 Inserts are available in metric threads ranging in size from M2.5 to M10. Alternatively, SPIROL’s standard Series 65 Molded-In Inserts are made from 2024 aluminum, a lightweight, lead-free grade and offer superior resistance to torque and comparable pull out.
