The most common application for SPIROL’s tubular Spacer is when it is used to separate two components from each other by a distance equal to the length of the Spacer. SPIROL’s Spacers are designed for a clearance fit around a standard size screw or bolt that typically passes through the inner diameter (ID) of the Spacer to retain the assembly together.
SPIROL’s SP100 Standard Wall Spacer has a thinner wall compared to the SP150 Heavy Wall Spacer, and thus is typically used for lighter duty applications where clamp loads are low and a larger bearing surface is not required for the mating material. In other light duty applications, rather than using a bolt through the ID to secure the assembly, both ends of the tubular Spacer can be flared to capture the mating materials.
The standard offering for SPIROL’s SP100 Standard Wall inch Spacers accommodates screw and bolt diameters ranging in size from #4 - .750” (3/4) in lengths up to 4” - depending on the specific diameter.
